My favorite feed reader *finally* has at least a beta of their new interface. Keywords: Start Page (with favorites) and more View panes to choose from. One of the things that's missing so far is that my 'saved' items are nowhere to be found. Thought this was 'just' a blog entry. Only after reading this I saw the date of this article, and knew that couldn't be the case.
